Volunteers

NUMAS Haus is always looking for volunteers who care about helping women and children build new lives. Transporting families, providing childcare at the shelter, packing/unpacking, cleaning, mailings, yardwork, maintenance, organizing, or simply offering a listening ear… you can make a difference at NUMAS Haus.

You must be at least 18 years old, and willing to undergo a background check. Please CONTACT US and we will be in touch with you to arrange training.

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS

In-House Volunteer

There are a wide variety of opportunities to help support our families and shelter for an in-house volunteer. Some basic duties may include:

  • Childcare at the Shelter
  • Cleaning
  • Mailings
  • Miscellaneous Tasks
  • Mentoring
  • Moving
  • Organizing
  • Packing/Unpacking
  • Yardwork

Transportation Volunteer

Assist families with rides to and from work, appointments, grocery store, job interviews, and other miscellaneous errands when needed.

Maintenance Volunteer

Assist with maintenance projects or repairs inside or outside of the shelter.
